A quirky Inn with all nooks and crannies. Floors creaky and sloping. These features just add to the character of the building. The breakfast and food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and we will definitely revisit. Although the accommodation has no parking on site The Kingswalk Multistorey is literally a 2 minute walk away and is only £6.00 for 24hrs. Thank you New Inn for a great stay.

    I have been to Gloucester before but not stayed in the city. There are of course many fine mediaeval buildings including the Cathedral. also some very good pubs and I found the people generally very friendly.

    This was my 4th trip to Gloucester so I have seen many of the sights before. The Cathedral is the main site to see. The cloisters have the most beautiful fan-vaulting stone work that I have ever seen in a Cathedral. Harry Potter fans will enjoy them as some scenes from the films were shot there. There are several quite old pubs in Gloucester which are well worth visiting plus it was a Roman town so there are some Roman ruins dotted about.

    Gloucester itself (especially Gloucester Quays area) is very nice. Historic and interesting with lots of great eatery options (highly recommend Greek on the Docks or Hetty’s Place). Lots of parking, mostly pay parking.

    Beautiful countryside.

    Beautiful countryside. Tewksbury is a lovely historic town well worth a visit. Gloucester also a beautiful city. Slimbridge Wildlife Centre close enough for a lovely day out. Plenty more to visit including the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds.

    Gloucester has an amazing cathedral and a nice shopping area called the Quays, the city itself is unbelievable shabby and I would think an embarrassment to the council but Gloucester is a good base to visit the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean

    Excellent location right in the centre of the city, close to bars, restaurants, Gloucester Cathedral and just a short 10 minute stroll to the Gloucester Quays area with it’s lovely shopping mall, a great choice of restaurants, the Gloucester Docks and canal walks. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day and have a fridge, microwave and plenty of plates, cutlery, cups, glasses etc. The main hotel areas are always kept clean, tidy and smelling fresh.

    Nice location to visit easy commute to Gloucestershire and Cheltenham by car, the hotel room was quite large and the shower was very good, we had a relaxing sleep with a very good breakfast every morning, we had an evening meal on both days and it’s was very good and very hot, the room could do with a little update however overall it meet my expectations so no I had no complaints , ever member of staff was very friendly and polite, will I visit again.? yes excellent two day break,

    We had a fantastic stay at the Edward hotel. It was the perfect location for the town centre and for a private party we were attending, with parking! The rooms were spacious, clean and warm. The bed was so comfortable, I’ve never slept so well away from my own bed. The owners were friendly and funny. Breakfast was great too. An all round great place to stay if you’re visiting Gloucester. A great find, we will be back.

    Very happy with the facilities, check in and location of the hotel. Did the job for an overnight stay to see Gloucester RFC at Kingsholm, walking distance to the ground!
