We stayed in a central inn, full of character with enthusiastic young staff. Very well placed for traffic free walking to Guildhall, Cathedral and Docks. Interesting mix of shops, cafes etc. We attended a Guildhall event one evening and a Cathedral event another and ran out of time for a return to the Docks. This was my 4th trip to Gloucester so I have seen many of the sights before. The Cathedral is the main site to see. The cloisters have the most beautiful fan-vaulting stone work that I have ever seen in a Cathedral. Harry Potter fans will enjoy them as some scenes from the films were shot there.
