We enjoyed our one night stay at Glyn Ceiriog, which we booked to break the journey home from North Wales. It is a delightful inn, located in beautiful surroundings, and we were blessed with lovely hosts. We enjoyed our evening meal there and the complimentary breakfast had fantastic choices. The playground opposite is a wonderful attraction for kids We visited Llangollen Bridge and indeed the town itself on the way home, and our overnight stay allowed us to extend our holiday by almost a whole day

There is Chirk castle worthing visting and also Erddig gardens near Wrexham also the village of Froncysyllte where you could go on the barge and also Llangollen a beautiful town with river walks or go on the barge with horses towing them. Had my breakfast and evening meals at the hotel and only had a little snack lunch time. Yes beautiful places for walkers or otherwise very easy to get around in the car. Plenty of activities for a solo traveller.

This little gem of a place exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here . It is a quiet peaceful place in a lovely country setting and the staff are brilliant as well as the food and service is top notch. Breakfast and dinner are both delightful experiences with good food and plenty of choices for all tastes. Love the freebies extras which were of really good quality too and there was nothing we did not like so 100% and more for this sensational place to stay. Fully recommend it to anyone who loves quality and peace and quiet and excellent customer service. We will be back again for 2 nights next time.

A great value for money hotel, really good evening meals available and breakfast was included! Everything was spotlessly clean. A great room, warm and cozy with shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer! Tea coffee and biscuits

    Nice, quiet place to unwind.

Nice, quiet place to unwind. The breakfast was very well set-up and they had excellent choices for children too. The staff at check-in was friendly and welcoming however can't say the same for another during dinner and breakfast downstairs.

Although the hotel was charming in some respects, it lacked adiquate comfortable seating in the bar area. There are no pool tables as suggested in the description, and the bedroom we had was somewhat smaller than pictured. However! On the plus side the shower was wonderful! Breakfast was disappointing, only a continental option with the ham looking as though it had been out of the fridge for a day! The evening meal was just okay and very basic.
