Location. New but with atmosphere, beautifully thought out - back-lit mirror and heated towel rail in bathroom yay! Double aspect windows with views of tops of many masts! Generous coffee/tea offerings. Really nice people on front desk - Johnny & friend. .

the house was amazing, the facilities were exceptional and felt like home. The rooms were great size and lounge and kitchen were perfect for our family I loved the chairs on the landing of the bedrooms as after got kids to bed I could sit and read with a cuppa or glass of wine to chill When we arrived they had also set up a small Christmas tree for the kids to decorate which just made their day. I would stay here again

Excellent space for a big group of people. Big drive which could fit all 5 cars. The garden was a great size and beautifully maintained. The highlight for us was the dining table come table tennis table/pool table. House was in a great location and only a short walk from the ferry where you can go across to Portsmouth.

    Gosport had BIG BIG naval history.

    Gosport had BIG BIG naval history. Few realise that Gosport side of Pompey harbour was as vital as much famed Portsmouth side. There is a great deal of heritage to see plus some lovely warm and not too busy beach walks. Plus it was scene for Doctor Who banking the sixties on Haslar Wall when the famous Yetis came out of the sea add to that the submarine museum the sea wall no one has seen and the history from WW2 it’s a great place to visit. No queues

    There are plenty of local traders and also the large supermarkets in Gosport. We ate in a loverly Italian restaurant. Parking is good. There is a very frequent passenger ferry to Portsmouth where there are many nautical attractions,

    We were able to go to Gunwharf Quays for shopping/cinema/bowling using the ferry. Town had a couple of supermarkets and a number of other shops. Lots of other attractions around area accessible via car.

    I cannot say anything about Gosport.

    I cannot say anything about Gosport. The hotel is south of the town in a quarter called Anglesey. What I learned is that in the 18th century a business man fulfilled his own version of the city of Bath. There certainly is a crescent that is based on the famous crescent at Bath. The hotel is at one end of it. We absolutely loved it. It’s close to the submarine museum.

    Gosport is pleasant.

    Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas. We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good. The apartment was within walking distance of the Gosport passenger ferry which takes you Portsmouth harbour.

    Lots of historical buildings and a marvellous panorama of the harbour. Victualling Yard and the Submarine Alliance worth a visit, also the Explosion Museum plus a local history section in the Gosport Library very interesting.

    We have stayed at the Alverbank several times now and each visit has been lovely. The location is beautiful as is the interior of the hotel. The view across the Isle of White in summer is exceptional and it is possible to have breakfast (exceptionally good) on the sunny garden terrace in good weather. The staff could not be more personable and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly with a great park directly behind for off lead runs and walks. We can’t recommend the Alverbank highly enough.

    Not much.couldnt open curtains everyone walking past can see in No heating and was told it would be put on which it wasn't.not working i think but nobody got back to us Mother was cold all night and also the extractor fan in bathroom on all time couldn't switch off.very disappointed with booking .com if this is there standard of accommodation.shant be using again I'm afraid.had a worse experience at hotel booked with booking.com too Spoilt our holiday
