Grassington is a lovely village in a great location within the dales. Lots of nice walks from there, especially along the river. It has plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Grassington is a beautiful setting in the Yorkshire dales.
Grassington is a beautiful setting in the Yorkshire dales. The village square is idyllic, with various places to eat and drink. Just around the corner is the visitors centre, which leads to the River Wharfe, and Linton Falls. The river has walking routes in both directions, one which goes to Burnsall, a very scenic village. Great place to stay. Lovely location. Down side was no WiFi and tv didn't work. For the price we paid ,I would expect these things to work. We did get a swift response when an email was sent about the problem , but being Saturday night we decided to decline the offer of an engineer as we were tired and didn't want to inconvenience somebody. This was my second visit to Grassington in 2 years.
This was my second visit to Grassington in 2 years. This time, staying in town for a few days, I had the opportunity to really talk to and interact with local residents. I was absolutely stuck by the welcoming spirit of this village. I felt immediately at home and was touched by the kindness of many people. The town is simply beautiful. A quaint, and thriving, village with friendly people and an interesting variety of restaurants, gift shops, and many beautiful walks around the village, and beside the river Wharfe.
