The staff were very welcoming and helpful we were staying to see concert locally and didn’t have time to eat before the gates opened so the staff offered to make us sandwiches to go which I thought was brilliant. our room was lovely and clean and comfortable.

Beautiful grounds surrounding the property Very high standard of finish to the building with every utensil you would ever need Everything very clean and fresh Definitely 5star quality We really enjoyed our stay convenient location as a base to explore the country side and local towns Very good selection of local pubs for evening dining and socialising But a wow factor when returning back to the property with the impact of the grounds and the quality of the property which was bright large and comfortable Made this break outstanding and very relaxing

This is an idyllic location for a stress free trip! The Shepherds hut was just perfect! The hot tub was a bonus and very much added to the weekend! I highly recommend a stay here!

    It's just off the main road, the village itself is small...

    It's just off the main road, the village itself is small with no shops, but it has a lovely well kept meadow open to the public and dogs. Swaffham is 10 mins up the road and has lots of cafe's pubs, shops and resturants etc. It's well placed for travelling to Branscaster, Holkham, wells on sea etc. The Windmill pub/hotel is good value and we love it.

    There is not much here but you are central to a lot of...

    There is not much here but you are central to a lot of lovely places. I was born in Swaffham 62 years ago so i know the area which has changed a lot but is still a quiet area where you can rest and gather your thoughts. Swaffham or Watton are places to visit and you will be happy with the roads with very little potholes and no speeding drivers as you dont have road works or traffic jams. You are close to historical places and not that far from the coast. We ate at the pub we stayed at and the food was lovely, but there are lots of places locally to eat if you wish.

    There are many lovely country pubs in nearby villages that are dog friendly. The area is near to Thetford forest with lots of lovely walks, and Sandringham. King's Lyn and Downham Market are interesting towns. The northern coastline of Norfolk is about an hours drive away. The Oxburgh Estate containing a moated medieval house is not far away with connections to one of Henry VIIIs wives.

    Fantastic pub excellent choice of beers, and staff very welcoming to me and my dog, the room were very clean and after a long day walking it nice to relax in the bath. My clothes were a bit creased in my back pack, the staff were more than helpful in supplying an iron.

    Comfortable bed but too much wildlife in the bedroom! We counted 4 flies, a moth and a large spider which was extremely disappointing for a deluxe room. We've stayed on farms in the past and never had flies in the room. Plenty of mould in the bathroom silicone, and the shower head looked grotty. The shower tray was extremely slippery and therefore dangerous. There was no shelf for toiletries. Breakfast was efficient but we had to suffer vacuum cleaner noise and floor cleaner smell.

    The staff worked very hard.

    The staff worked very hard. Presentation of food and quantity good value and very tasty. Enjoyed our stay so much we have booked for 2 nights in August. Very dog friendly. Would recommend accommodation.

    Nice hotel with a big free car park at the back which is nice. My room (9) was nice and big yet a slanted room (be careful if you are tall). nice bathroom. the hotel is quiet. we did come back after the pub was closed but it was super quiet all night. little fun looking at all the kittens playing around the hotel, very cute. Breakfast was very nice and quickly served.
