The location of the Blue Boar is perfect. It is in a quiet and small little village with next to no passing traffic. The rooms are quaint, clean and beautifully presented. Laura and her husband were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The full English breakfast was lovely and plentiful and there a variety of options available to those who wished for a lighter meal. The residents bar is cosy and welcoming and tastefully decorated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our mini-break up to Norfolk, our destination, Highfield Farm at Great Ryburgh was easy to find and was close to several stately homes, sandy beaches, shopping, and excellent dining options. Thrilled with our bedrooms and bathroom, along with a wonderful kitchen/living room, it met all our requirements. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh bread, croissants and coffee every day, along with cereals, yoghurt, fruit compote, ham and cheese. We truly wanted to stay longer and plan on coming back to Highfield farm next summer.

The hotel was lovely, my room was comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast slot, beginning at 0830, was very civilised and relaxing!

    Regular contact with property prior to stay. Property unbelievably helpful prior to and during stay. Excellent food, promptly served at out-of-hours dining time. Very warm welcoming by property owner ( I even got a hug!!!). Thoroughly recommended! You won't find better.
