The details from booking .com were not the same as hotel.
The details from booking .com were not the same as hotel. Check in 3pm and check out 11am was actually 4pm (as it did not open till 4pm) and check out was 10am. There was a menu, showing the prices and times the meals were available... BUT, There was no one at reception there were no meals (except breakfast) being cooked. The full English breakfast did not include sausages as there was none left and the milk was served in small plastic individual containers. The scrambled eggs and toast was served with two thin slices of toasted bread and no butter. (My wife said the eggs were dry and tasteless... disgusting was used several times). Breakfast was served between 7 and 9am .... (that was out by 9am ) we left 09:05 and the dining room door was locked behind us. The room was dirty, the window paintwork was flaky and chipped and cracked and blackened with moist. No safety measures in bathroom. ..... ... rubber bath/ shower mat or handrails. There was lots of black mould right around the bath. At the price of £99 per night I would have expected a lot more. Clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet. Gorgeous location and a fabulous hamper was provided. The owners clearly care that guests should have everything they need to have a great stay. We were seeing family close by but it is a good central location for many attractions and Cambridge. There was a pub within walking distance where we had a nice meal and friendly staff.Guest review byAnonymous
