We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. It was big, clean, bright and had everything we need. There isn’t much parking but we got a space. Staff were great and lots of food choices for lunch and breakfast. It’s on the high street so is a great location.

Delicious, breakfast,lots of choice.Very pleasant room to eat in. Owner was my waiter on first day.On second day the waitress,Angela was very efficient & pleasant.The owner,David,provided bus timetables,suggestions on how to spend an interesting day in the area,& was very amenable,& helpful. My room was delightful.Heated tile floors.Great shower.Bedroom with two single beds up carpeted stairs.Comfortable.

Really superb. Room was very clean and nice decorated. The best shower we had during our vacation. Free milk and water in the fridge. There was even a smart speaker present with amazon music! Extra service for bicycle storage was a plus. Communication with owner was very nice.

    Really handy for Hadrian's Wall, accessible by train and with a decent local bus service. This is a small town and busy in the summer, quiet in the winter, set in gorgeous countryside all year round. We had good food at the Manor House Inn. The local landscape and history are obviously the big draws here, if you can walk or cycle it's perfect country for it.

    Lovely little town that is the centre of Britain.

    Lovely little town that is the centre of Britain. Full of character, great mix of small private businesses and larger chains. Excellent restaurants and pubs. Stay here to explore the width of Britain at it's narrowest part.

    Haltwhistle was a nice town with enough to see and do.

    Haltwhistle was a nice town with enough to see and do. We enjoyed our walk out to Hadrians Wall, despite the lack of sign-posting for walkers in town. It was a shame that shops in town appeared to close early in the afternoon, however being a small town it was to be expected

    Haltwhistle is a lovely little town with loads of independent shops as well as a chemist, Co-op and Sainsburys. There are loads of places to eat out in Haltwhistle, we had a lovely evening meal at the Manor House Hotel and Restaurant, with excellent service and delicious food. We also had breakfast at Bonnie's which was really good. People are very friendly and helpful in the town. Don't forget to get the infamous photo at the centre of Great Britain!

    Haltwhistle was a great location to access Hadrians wall and...

    Haltwhistle was a great location to access Hadrians wall and the Roman forts , we were there on May bank holiday Sunday and almost all the town was shut up except a couple of restaurants and a co op shop. On BH Monday there was one pub serving food and they had shut the kitchen by 7.15 pm having run out of food. I found the town deserted which was a shame.We ate in Jethros cafe on the Sunday night which was great , lovely food and waitresses , can recommend that cafe.

    We were very satisfied with the stay. The location was perfect for us - close to the station and with a nice route to Hadrian's Wall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, food in the hotel's restaurant and the atmosphere of the place.

    Great location, super friendly staff, big room in an historic part of the hotel. Breakfast choice was good with cooked to order hot food. Room and bathroom clean, super comfy bed and a great base to explore the region, bus stop right outside the hotel, close to the station.

    Well located in the High Street of Haltwhistle and near to local pubs and cafes for food. Overnight parking close was easy. The owner was helpful in dealing with any questions we had. Well situated for a short drive to Hadrians Wall and other local attractions.

    Very nice farm close to Haltwhistle. Was a perfect halfway stop on our cycle trip from Newcastle to Carlisle. We were allowed to store our bikes in a locked room. The apartment is very nice, especially the high „barn“ ceiling gives it a wonderful atmosphere.
