    It was a lovely place to visit. The Buddhist temple, Ashridge estate were lovely. Local coffee shops to enjoy book in the sun. Stroll along the Berkhampstead highstreet. There is still so much to see

    Hemel isn’t a nice as we thought it would be.

    Hemel isn’t a nice as we thought it would be. Town centre very scruffy & full of takeaway shops & fast food outlets. Traffic was hideous with a very dodgy 6 mini roundabout - roundabout! We only stayed here as it’s a short drive to Harry Potter studios, definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

    The ambience was great, breakfast lovely, but the staff didn't know what a bloody Mary cocktail is at the bar. The cleaning of the rooms, was also not completely great, but staff were fantastic. Also had to pay for parking of our rented car, but glad the place was secured. Family friendly hotel

    The walk along the canal and the beautiful marina are a must and Sainsbury’s is a gem min walk down the road or canal path. The train station at Aspley is not brilliant would recommend booking g tickets online before stay as machines were broken and station is not manned. The hotel was amazing and perfect place if visiting Harry Potter studios. The hotel it’s self is perfect and can’t wait to stay again.

    The restaurants over the bridge opposite hotel were absolutely beautiful and the canal walk was a lovely thing to do in the morning. We ate at darcys tapas bar and the food, drink, staff and location were exceptional as well as good value for money

    What I just have to say it's not about the flat it about the parking space!! We had to park in front of someone parking space and then bloke that person which we didn't feel comfortable doing that !! Maybe review the parking space is a most !!

    Spacious two room suite with fridge and table and chairs as well as 3 single beds and a double for the family. Nice pub in the old town of Hemel Hempstead with outside seating available for decent pub food in the evening and a very good breakfast. Friendly staff. For our plans - v convenient location to Harry Potter studios and the Snow Centre - plus a lovely play area (including fabulous water fountains!) in the park opposite which was a fantastic surprise and relief on a super hot day!

    The room I booked for two nights was no longer available was disappointed The hotel was very busy with children on a coach tour I feel that’s why my room was cancelled to give to a family! As I booked a suite After visiting here for some years I noticed a Change on this visit Very friendly reception staff a young lady very helpful and efficient bar area managed well and clean

    We really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express Apsly. I happened to mention that it was my wife's birthday and to our surprise, both Helen and Chi arrived at our table with a complimentary bottle of wine, and they then sang 'Happy birthday. We really couldn't thank them enough. We are already planning our next trip in March.

    Probably the best holiday inn we have stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot. Good sized rooms for a family and very clean. Super comfy beds and air conditioning that could be switched off. Bathroom was super clean. Friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. Big car park. Would definitely stay again.

    It was a quiet room as requested, great location and an awesome breakfast. Well done to all the staff, we'll be back when we are in the area again . The hotel is in a great location for Warners Bros Harry Potter, Legoland and Thorpe park
