The bed was extremely comfortable and the room quiet, so I had a very good night's sleep. The breakfast was really good too. Parking was free at the rear of the hotel.

The staff is exceptional. The reservation manager made anything possible to accommodate us and respond to any extra wishes! The second morning already, the lady at the restaurant remembered our room numbers and our breakfast preferences. The whole team is incredibly thoughtful and attentive. We will be back!

We found the hotel and staff to be very good for the amount of money, also a very good breakfast included. We did have one small hiccup but the manager took time to talk to us and resolve.

We stayed in the Limes room. It was spectacular and extremely comfortable. Particularly loved all the attention to detail like slippers, robes and complimentary drinks.A generous and delicious breakfast was included . We couldn't have asked for more. We also had a family dinner for 18 booked at Luigi's and the staff,food and service were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed their authentic classical Italian dishes.

The hot tub was a great feature which everyone used. The pods were cosy and so very clean. It was so relaxing and peaceful and had a great night sleep. Staff were all helpful and the breakfast from the club house in the morning was very tasty. Would definitely stay again

Visited for a local wedding, the communication from the hosts was fantastic with all the arrival information we needed. The house was in a gorgeous setting and it was modern, decorated lovely and immaculate. It was really lovely that the hosts left tea, coffee and milk for a morning cuppa and there was also coffee pods. It was well equipped. I couldn’t recommend this place more and the value for money in comparison to others we had seen before we booked was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a lovely stay, should we need a place to stay in the area again we won’t hesitate to rebook your stunning home.

    Didn’t get access to the room due to the owner turning his phone off . I booked another hotel after waiting 2 hours for help to gain access . It’s also hidden away . The owner said his phone was acting up !! It was turned off . No help at all . Took my money and I didn’t even get through the door . Really unhelpful . Felt like he’s done this before . As he later messaged me at 12-30 and said he had evidence he tried to help me ? Not true at all . Stay away from this place . No keys at the property unless you give a £30 deposit ? Why ?

    The location was great for walking on the canal and for exploring Heybridge Basin and Maldon. Lovely to see the ducks and swans on the canal from the lounge window. Apartment is a good size and bathroom is good.
