We did not see a lot of the town, which has a long history. There are some interesting and beautiful places to visit within easy reach: National Trust places to recommend are Hughenden Manor, Cliveden, and Greys Court. Other places are The Chiltern Hills, the Coombe Hill Monument, The Hell-Fire Caves and many more. We booked the Hampton by Hilton for location as it’s 10 minutes drive from Buckinghamshire new university, or 40 minute walk, The Eden shopping centre is 5 minutes in the car with plenty of cafes ,shops and cinema and games arcade and bowling arcade, There are more shops and pubs outside the shopping centre where there is a Wetherspoons pub and a few other pubs and clubs Lots to do in the area, would definitely recommend for university moving in weekend.Guest review byKathrynUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was a lovely little town that felt almost sea side like. Everyone we interacted with were friendly and there were some really great food and drink options. A day trip to Marlow was also great, as was the park with the National Trust house. High Wycombe has one redeeming feature, you get to leave it.

I asked for a room on ground floor, said they didn't have any. I always check the bed and bathroom before settling down. The bed sheets had 3 different types of hair in it and Blood stains . I went to Reception, asked for refund, he offered me another room. ( thought they didn't have any?!?) No, definitely want my money back , thank you. He did apologise for state of room. Yes the building is a little tired but I couldn't fault the cleanliness and the comfortable bed. Free car parking at rear so no worries looking for cheapest car parks. All round excellent value.
