Loved the circular riverside walk, straight from Heronshaw...
Loved the circular riverside walk, straight from Heronshaw House. Nice on a hot day and great for dogs, one splash about area during the walk, and a decent length of walk. Think it was around an hour, including stops to take photos. Despite being close to the airport you rarely heard any aircraft noise. A hidden gem, yet only a short drive to all local amenities. The walk is easy and flat. So if you want a relaxing and peaceful break you will not be disappointed, without being cut off should you want more. A half hour drive to the Cliffhouse, at Barton on Sea, for some fabulous food, with lovely views looking over to the Isle of White and Hengistbury Head.
