My family and I had a fantastic stay in Inverkeithing and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Edinburgh without the hustle and bustle of staying directly in the city. What really sets Inverkeithing apart is its unbeatable location – just a short walk from the railway station, which has frequent and reliable trains to Edinburgh city centre. The journey takes less than half an hour, making it incredibly easy to enjoy all that Edinburgh has to offer while staying in a quieter, more relaxed setting.

We didn’t spend much time in inverkeithing.

We didn’t spend much time in inverkeithing. The supermarket wasn’t very well stocked. We went to the local Pub Half Crown and had a great time. Ordered Indian from the local takeout and it was delicious.

The accommodation is just off the high street.

The accommodation is just off the high street. We had our own vehicle, but there is an excellent rail service just a short distance away which runs to Edinburgh and also direct to London. The high street is a little run down, but people very friendly, easy parking, chinese takeaway was excellent, mini supermarket (Co-op i think), cashpoint.

The town is not particularly interesting and the main street through town looks a bit run down, but the location suited us very well. It has a good Co-op with long hours and a bakery - important for self-caterers.

Easy to access rail station for adventuring further afield rather than driving. Good supermarket within short walk of property. Lots of takeaway options but no restaurants, however just a 40 minute walk to North Queens Ferry there is a wonderful restaurant called Wee Restaurant serving excellent food so well worth the walk.

We used this hotel as a stop over before getting a flight early the next morning. It was a great room we stayed in with loads of space. We especially liked the conservatory space to relax. The beds were really comfy and our room was clean. There was tea and coffee facilities but no milk available. Not a problem though as we went to the shop literally along the road as we needed some other bits also so just grabbed some while there. We would return in the future.

Edinburgh was expensive cos of The Fringe. This hotel was relatively cheap and cheerful, close to train and bus stations to get into Edinburgh, adequate parking, comfy bed, clean, access and exit was easy, they weren't doing breakfasts, would recommend for a clean no frills stay. I liked the way the door wouldn't let you lock yourself out :)

We stayed here when visiting the Edinburgh fringe and found the location of the property within walking distance of the train station. Trains were frequent into Edinburgh. Shops were also near and parking available outside the property. This property had all amenities to cook should you wish to. Overall a great short stay in Inverkeithing.

Convenient location very close to Inverkeithing railway station. Its a nice and small town with few shops. If you are going for grocery shopping, suggest co-op few minutes away. House is cosy, bit old fashioned, but we loved it. I especially liked the welcome basket 😍

It was easy to get transport from the homestay in Inverkeithing to Edinburgh and there are also great places to see nearby such as Fife Walking and Dunfermline Abbey. The hosts are amazing people, kind and respectful. Their house is comfortable and quiet.
