It is a cute little village tucked away from the hustle and bustle from the more touristy areas in the Loch Ness area. Waterfalls and the Loch are easy walks, and it’s a short drive to Urquhart Castle and other sites. There are not a lot of places to dine, so the Glen Mariston is a good choice. Invermoriston doesn't have anything in it, particularly, other than a nice coffee shop and one really, really good pub/restaurant (the only game in town, but it is luckily a good one). Is it really a "town," per se? Hard to tell. Sort of just a crossroads along driving/hiking routes. But it's very pretty!Guest review byJohn - 8.0

The location was lovely and we saw plenty of birds as well as a red squirrel. The nearby waterfall is amazing. The local shop was surprisingly well stocked. The apartment was larger than we had imagined, clean and had everything that we needed. We couldn't recommend the apartment highly enough. First day the fire place is ready to fire, second days we need to go to the forrest for small pieces of the wood, it was funny and we enjoyed it during the walk to Invermoriston watterfalls. We liked tweed blankets, we used them in ground floor :) There is free access directly to Loch Ness with small booth and boat to watch or hunt the Loch Ness monster. The setting was tranquil and the cabins were very well spaced apart - each with their own enclosed lawn area which allowed our dog to go outside without danger of escaping.
