    There are lots of sites to visit in the area and local walks...

    There are lots of sites to visit in the area and local walks. We didn't do any visits as we had celebrations planned. Spoke to others who had done walks and participated in he local half marathon event on Sunday. We watched some of the proceedings as they were near the hotel. Lots of choice for shoppers too.

    A large beautiful house/hotel situated in large well kept grounds. I stayed for two nights only as I was attending a wedding. A perfect wedding venue! Updating and redecoration is needed in some areas but this did not spoil my stay. The bed was very comfortable. My room had large bath and excellent shower. Beware when running the bathroom sink tap as the water extremely hot. Breakfast and dinner prices were in my opinion rather expensive All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. Public transport links some distance away so this hotel more suited for those with their own means of transport

    We were there on a fishing break.

    We were there on a fishing break. I am a professional fly casting instructor and there are many good fisheries in the area. Inverurie is a fantastic base fir fishing all of them. Brilliant Indian restaurants to eat at, great place.

    We stayed in Inverurie as we were attending a wedding close...

    We stayed in Inverurie as we were attending a wedding close by in Old Meldrum. Inverurie is a small place with one main road which pretty much has everything you need on it. The Market Square was busy on the Saturday with various stalls selling various items. We just ate in Hotel where we were staying.

    It is a very pretty town.

    It is a very pretty town. They have a market once a fortnight, which sadly I missed. There are many beautiful walks around the town and along the river, with lots of birds, wild flowers and trees to see. It has a good array of shops, and a fantastic deli- the Kilted Frog.

    The hotel seemed to be short of staff, the ones we saw were chopping and changing about, either cleaning the rooms, on reception or in the breakfast room serving. We were not impressed with the breakfast, coffee and tea were always cold, toast bought before got the main part could have been better, make waiter hair not tied back, some people waiting for breakfast for a while .

    Unfortunately the reservation was cancelled 11:30PM The night before arrival. We were rebooked into a hotel 2 separate rooms when we had booked an apartment to all be together.
