Everything. If you are backpacking you do not need to bring any stuff for coocking and so on. All is taking care of by the very friendly staff. We could make a nice kampfire. Thank you Will for picking us up at the ferry. .

We liked everything about this cottage. It is so well cared for and homely with everything you could need for easy self catering. Comfortable beds and hot showers- unfortunately we didn’t need to use the wood burner! The location is wonderful with red deer visiting and fabulous views to the Treshnish Isles and Staffa within a few minutes stroll.

We loved everything about the Cabin. The Cabin had everything we needed and the location was amazing. The owners were friendly & we loved the free-range animals. We didn't want to leave and will return! Our spaniel loved it too. There was a small fenced area outside which was fine for him & then miles of open spaces for him to run on.

Scenery, wildlife, history in abundance - absolutely breath taking. No cars allowed so be prepared to walk everywhere (there are some bikes that can be hired at the Spar shop). There is a very good café selling hot food / home-baking / teas & coffee but closes at 5.00 pm so if your staying over need to book a table at either of the two hotels on the island. Good food but a little expensive.

    I loved Iona so much.

I loved Iona so much. I wanted to stay for more than the overnight. Walking around the island, soaking in the energy of the land and the beauty of the coastline was magical. It was very inspiring. I wrote two songs while I was there and started several more. I loved my hike to Port Banh beach and St. Columba's Bay and walking around the town. I dined at the Argyll Hotel, which was excellent and had lunch at the Marty's Bay Cafe & Bar. I also did the Nature Adventure tour to Lunga and the Treshnish Islands and Staffa and it was an incredible experience. I highly recommend that.

    The Abbey and its history.

The Abbey and its history. There are next to no cars on the island so you have to be equipped for the weather and long hikes. The people - both tourists and islanders are very friendly. The island is quite pristine - we didn't see any rubbish strewn about.

I know the island well. It is truly a gem of the Hebrides.

I know the island well. It is truly a gem of the Hebrides. Disappointed in the lack of hospitality offered post Abbey service in comparison with past visits. Had a meal at the Columba Hotel which wasn't great. Otherwise a great visit.

The three nights we stayed in a comfortable and well equipped’pod’ were amazing. Looking out over the Iona Abbey was the icing on the cake, sheltered at the foot of Iona’s highest hill. The north circular walk was amazing. Joining the pilgrims for a welcome service at the Abbey was really enjoyable and friendly. The island has so much history and culture to absorb. Peace touching earth. White sandy bays were stunning. Wide variety of affordable eating places and a well stocked Spar shop. Pizzas were heavenly! It did help to have wall to wall sunshine throughout our stay 🌞🙏🏻👍 The islanders are so welcoming.
