The location was excellent, a 5 minute walk to the main street. The property had everything and more for what you would need. The cottage was modern, yet it still felt like a cottage. My granddaughter loved the bunkbed

I have just returned from the most lovely 3 night stay in this beautiful apartment whilst visiting friends and family who live in Kendal. Everything in this apartment is of a very high standard and quality. It has a modern and luxurious feel yet at the same time has lots of character and feels very homely which was perfect for my visit. It was spotlessly clean with a super bathroom, a fantastic shower and a great kitchen that had everything you could possibly need in it. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the apartment had areas for relaxing as well as a dressing area which I found extremely helpful. Although it is a studio apartment it is very spacious and is full of light from the pretty windows. I enjoyed looking at the shambles street and colourful old houses below that have been converted into beautiful art and craft shops. It was a joy to return to the apartment throughout my daily activities and as it is positioned centrally in the old town area it was a perfect place to stay. The shops, cafes, bars and lovely pubs are just minutes walk away and I often popped out very early in the morning to grab a breakfast or a coffee before returning back to organise myself for the day ahead. It was also a great location to meet family and friends in town during the evenings too for drinks in the pubs or meals out. Louise was always available and so helpful, kind and welcoming. She was able and willing to help me with an earlier check in time as I had arrived from my home in Italy with many suitcases as on this occasion my visit was due to a family bereavement. I cannot recommend a stay at this apartment highly enough and I am very much looking forward to staying there again when I next return to Kendal.

Kendal is a great location between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. It is large enough to have a lot of choices of restaurants, grocery and shopping options. The Castle is a lovely walk, it's beautiful, and has lots of walking paths and green spaces for dogs as well as people. We loved the markets and the local towns around, as well.

Kendal is a beautiful and historic market town with lots of excellent shops, pubs and restaurants. It's got a great library for rainy days and there's lots of fascinating old alleyways and buildings to enjoy. We loved eating at the Brewery Arts Centre in the evening and also the brilliant Comida Spanish tapas cafe just down from the arts centre. Kendal is a great place to use as a base to explore the Lakes.

The location was quiet as it was hidden behind other buildings. There were two rooms per floor and three floors. The stairs were winding and narrow so not appropriate for seniors unless in good physical condition. I am over 75 and the stairs made me quite nervous. The kitchen was well equipped except I prefer perk or drip coffee. Folks from out of the UK may not understand the term 'cottage' as this is a three story building.

We really enjoyed a visit to Levens Hall nearby, famous for its topiary garden. We would like to have visited Sizergh House as well, but didn’t have time. Kendal’s great owing to its proximity to these historic houses and to Lake Windermere.

The hotel is very convenient for exploring Kendal. Our room overlooked the River Kent. In fact, it was immediately adjacent to the river, so was quiet at night. Breakfast was a, mostly very, good buffet. We ate one evening meal, which was excellent; we both opted for rump steaks and they were some of the best we have eaten in quite some time. The wine list was very good and reasonably priced, as was the meal. There was also complimentary, covered car parking within 100 yards of the hotel

We had such a lovely stay. The room was spacious, had a lovely powerful shower, and was warm. Our room was dog friendly too which meant we could stay with our pooch. The staff was so friendly, the breakfast had plenty of choice, and we loved having a pub as part of the hotel so we could have dinner on-site. The hotel is also well located, and was perfect for a visit to Kendal.
