Very friendly staff, sue,John and Ray would do everything to help no matter what ,we had the best 3nights at the luib hotel,will deffo be going back, walked in on first night to lovely welcome and a roaring fire,food was also lovely.would definitely recommend the luib hotel.

Cabin and location are gorgeous! The cabin was super cozy with plenty of room. Our two dogs settled in very quickly, with a large garden outside for them. It was lovely and quiet and on a night, the sound of the Falls of Dochart is all you can hear. Our hosts were super lovely and helpful we felt so welcome. We especially liked the little guide book they had put together. On one day we followed one of the local walks they recommended it was lovely.

We’ve all seen the exaggerated estate agent/hotel photographs that promise a palace but deliver a bed-sit. Leirsinn Mhor is the reverse. The photos on the internet do not do it justice. It is absolutely FAB-U-LOUS as one TV judge would say. Our whole family was blown away by the place. It truly is a home-from-home with every little detail taken care of. The décor is fantastic, what a designer eye they have. The size and layout of the communal rooms excellent. To describe it as a home-from-home does not do it justice. It’s as if you dropped in on a friend who has just stepped out for a minute. The kitchen with the island layout is perfect. Several people can chop, wash, fry, etc while not being in each other’s way. It made the designated chefs feel part of the party not left to get on with it. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, pans, utensils and thoughtfully a drawer full of herbs, seasonings, teabags and sundries that are a great help. Huge fridge/freezer in pantry helped maximise storage. Also, lots of room to leave coats, shoes, etc. The bedrooms are all stunning. The communal areas large and luxurious. Games, books (of different genres), LP’s (on a real turntable), there is something to discover in every room. Don’t forget to look through the stunning album of photos showing the restoration and rebuilding work that has gone into make Leirsinn Mhor the wonderful venue it is today. The house is located very close to the town centre, only a few minutes’ walk, and all the shops we visited were friendly and helpful – to the point we all commented on it! Everyone is very friendly and made us feel so welcome even as one-of visitors. Shutters coffee shop/café got particularly high praise. The local park, 3 minutes away, was excellent with the kids enjoying swings, zip-wire, see-saw, football pitches, etc. There is also a bicycle tool station too !

The location is peaceful, the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. From the moment we stepped foot through the door, we were greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. Their attentive and welcoming nature made us feel right at home.     We had a wonderful stay at this property.

    We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was perfect right next to the falls in the beautiful and scenic village of Killin. The house itself is very well decorated, fully equipped with everything a family could need, and had a very warm, homely feel. The beds were extremely comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. Having a Co-op store nearby was very convenient for groceries. Overall, it was the perfect place to stay, and we would highly recommend it!

    Our Falls View room was cramped and not like the photo on...

    Our Falls View room was cramped and not like the photo on the website,. It seemed that the salmon had run out on our first morning as there was none with the scrambled eggs at breakfast. On mondays and tuesdays there is only a pizza choice in the evening. We were not impressed with them.

    We didn't even stay for our second night which was paid for.

    We didn't even stay for our second night which was paid for. When we arrived the woman could not be less helpful. We are a couple of pensioners in our 80's and she put us on the top floor room 36 when we were first to book in. You needed to be superman to get the lift doors open.

    Killin has changed as has so many other places over the years. Not as bustling. If looking for peace & quiet with lots of walks then this is a great base. Lots of tourists come to see the falls of dochart but Killin has other points of interest to see. Finlarig castle, nice walk to the loch, longhouse, mill, Mcnab graveyard, old graveyard, etc.

    The falls of Dochart as you enter the town are pleasant as is the river adjacent to the Hotel and the Church next door, I really wish I had allowed time to explore further. Leaving on the cycleway along the former railway line also afforded good views

    Lovely village in a great setting.

    Lovely village in a great setting. There are just enough shops to meet the traveller’s needs. The walks out of the village are a great variety abd beautiful and more adventurous walks are close by. A great centre for a few days walking.

    The food in the restaurant for both the evening meal and breakfast was well above expectations. For such a remote location it was a good place to stay and as mentioned the food was above and beyond. Would recommend a meal just as a traveller. The lounge area gave a good feeling when relaxing with a drink afterwards. The staff couldn't have been anymore helpful and pleasant. I requested a non-friendly pet room which I was given. Also pets weren't allowed in some areas of the hotel.

    Perfect location in killin. Very homey feeling. Felt very welcome. We had de smallest room but it was really cute. Coffee station and water bottles as well as a little treat when we arrived. Breakfast cooked after ordering the night before. Great place for hikes around Killin. We ate at the restaurant and had the best meal during our trip (and we have eaten in quite fancy restaurants during our trip). The lamb is a must as well as salmon pate.

    The cottage was very well equipped with all we needed for a very comfortable stay. It was close to the Killin hotel where we enjoyed a lovely meal and was easy access to all the natural beauty of the village and surrounding area. Our host was friendly and most helpful.
