This is a very attractive small town beside the beautiful Loch Leven and close to many lovely local areas. It has a range of basic amenities and a couple of good places to eat. It is easy to reach from Edinburgh

As always the people are very pleasant, the wee coffee...

As always the people are very pleasant, the wee coffee shops which are all lovely, nice varied menus and homemade cakes! The butcher shop is a must the choices in this shop are amazing! Lots of nice wee independent shops too selling an array of something different!

There is not much to do in Kinross.

There is not much to do in Kinross. We went to the lake and wanted to visit the castle but it was closed due to a private event. Some shops are closed or are closing in the town. The small jetty looks abandoned and run down. It might have been nice to walk or cycle around the loch. However, for us 1 day was sufficient time. We really liked the small cafe Reminisce. Lovely team.

Well situated for overnight stay en route to Edinburgh. Lovely big room with plenty wardrobe space. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and promptly served. Excellent choices for breakfast just what was needed hot selection cold selection pastries and cereals. J would highly recommend this hotel. Never had a chance to go in to Main Street but will visit again

It's a small town but it has everything.

It's a small town but it has everything. Loch Leven is a gem and the surrounding countryside very beautiful. The drives to Perth and Scone Palace as well as to Stirling are gorgeous. It's within half and hour of Edinborough and 45 minutes of Glasgow. We ate at our hotel, the Kirklands which has a great restaurant so can't say anything about the other places.

Great find, nice little hotel with reasonable food. Room was really spacious and huge bed! Really dog friendly, even provided a bowl and biscuits upon arrival in the room for our pooch! Breakfast also included. We’ve had some horrendous stays on this Scotland trip so thought this was great value for £100.

Lovely conversion. High windows let in lots of light and give you privacy. Great location for getting out and about to explore Scotland. Good size garden space.shops are close by for essentials. Host provided lots of helpful information ahead of our stay.

Great place, we had one night here after arriving in Edinburgh airport, so we drove to Kinross instead of having to stay at an airport hotel. The breakfast was absolutely superb, the waitress was very kind and overall a great experience!
