Everything! The host is lovely! Kerry made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. She was so helpful and accommodating. She also bakes the most amazing bread which was a lovely surprise! The accommodation also had lots of little extras that we didn't expect like Prosecco and snacks! The outdoor bath tub was so relaxing! It was much better than anything we've ever experienced as the water is free from chlorine etc making it perfect for families with kids. We were able to take our little one into the tub and enjoy bath time as a family! The location was perfect! We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but we were only a 5 minute drive to Portaferry where you can find shops, restaurants, takeaways etc, or you can take a 10 minute ferry from Portaferry to Strangford which is also beautiful! We loved listening to the birds singing and the hens that wandered freely around the grounds of the property. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Really couldn't fault our stay and would definitely recommend and return!

I went with a group of friends and we loved everything about the accommodation. The hut was clean, very well kitted out and had everything we needed. It’s so comfortable and cosy. We loved the views and the outside area where we sat and enjoyed a fire and a few drinks. The shepherds hut is only a very short walk from a lovely bar and restaurant which is only an island.. definitely worth a visit. Steph was amazing. Very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
