Beautiful location .! The views from the breakfast , lunch room were amazing..! The staff were very freindly and nice. ! It is in a quiet rural setting , but only minutes to town. They had some fantastic home baked desserts..! And , ran out with my pillow , as we were leaving , that i had left behind inour room, Thank you..! Would definately recomend..!

The complete package is very round, excellent room, wonderful dinner in a Michelin Star Restaurant which really earns this star, very nice and supportive staff. Nicolas and Murray were fantastic and made our dinner very special. Since years finally a Michelin Star restaurant were we both would love to come back.

The Railway Rooms in Buckhaven are an absolute gem. The rooms are incredibly competitive financially, the facility is modern, clean and well maintained, and the Land Lady is an absolute angel. Not only did she get me in a well appointed room, she also helped me to book my return flight as I was having hassles with authenticating my Swiss Bank account in the UK. The shared dining are is brightly lit, and the location is perfect for exploring the rich maritime haven of Buckhaven. I would strongly advise you to stay here if you are working or visiting Scotland for tourism - the Land Lady is a fount of knowledge on local attractions and can help to tailor your stay. Absolute 💯 and if it were mathematically possible I would give 110%.

I had an amazing stay! The room was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was very welcoming and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The location was convenient, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

    If its a relaxing quiet country location you are after, then...

    If its a relaxing quiet country location you are after, then this is it. Lovely location away from it all yet near enough to be in a town within 20 minutes. I can't fault it as it exceeded my expectations.

    The Monturpie guest house was the highlight of our stay but...

    The Monturpie guest house was the highlight of our stay but the whole area east of Largo is stunning. Little working fishing villages along the coast are beautiful. St Andrews is most interesting with lots to see and do. Particularly enjoyed the castle. A day in Faulkland is worthwhile, also a visit to Scotland’s secret bunker. So much more to see, we shall be back.

    Small quiet village but as I have a car it was a great base...

    Small quiet village but as I have a car it was a great base for visiting Dundee about 20mins drive & St.Andrews was about 12mins drive away. Lower Largo is 5mins away with a lovely beach & there you will also find the Robinson Crusoe statue & a lovely cafe beside the beach which does lovely scones. We also visited Anstruther & had a delicious fish supper at The Wee Chippy which had won an award for its fish & chips every year since 2020.

    Our first time in Fife and this was the perfect location to...

    Our first time in Fife and this was the perfect location to base ourselves in. There's a lovely beach in Lower Largo and St Andrews is only about 20 minutes away. Outstanding fish and chips from Anstruther!
