    Feels like a fairy tale city.

    Feels like a fairy tale city. Very lovely, walkable as long as you can manage hills. Tone of history, so do your homework before you go, and you'll get more out of it. Taxis reasonable, people lovely! I did a walking tour of the city walls which was most enjoyable. Lots of good places to eat.

    I’m proud to say I’m from this area, the people are friendly, they take pride in the surroundings this was evident with flowers, hanging baskets and the cleanlinesses. Unfortunately we’re there for a family funeral.

    We loved walking around the city walls and walking through...

    We loved walking around the city walls and walking through other neighborhoods. The Bogside History Walking tour was well worth it. We would have liked to take another tour but did not have the time. The Tower museum was very interesting for a history of Derry and for a cute exhibit on Derry Girls. We also enjoyed the Guildhall and its exhibits. We regretted not being able to spend some time across the river to see the Unionist murals. We also recommend taking the train to Coleraine to catch the Causeway Rambler bus--very easy to stop at Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills, Portrush and other sights. Some veg-friendly food recs: Bishops Gate Hotel- only a few options, but really good. Cafe in the Craft Village, and weirdly Hillbilly's Fried Chicken has a vegan menu!

    Visit the tourist center opposite the guild hall and do the walking tour with the local guide who was himself part of the Bloody Sunday March. Terry is the local guide who conducts daily walking tour. The tour starts from the outside of the tourist center and you can buy the ticket from the tourist center.     We enjoyed our trip to Derry.

    We enjoyed our trip to Derry. Check out the city walls, the Tower Museum, the murals, and the peace bridge. The views along the River Foyle are lovely. It’s very vibrant and friendly, but with a challenging history.

    I loved how clean it was.

    I loved how clean it was. Everywhere we visited was welcoming not only to us but our grandchildren as well. From taxi drivers to restaurants bars. Places of interest with all the history people were happy to explain more. We can’t wait to return to Derry and I can’t fault it

    Nice hotel, located not far from Derry city centre in N.I. I only stayed for one night as was working in the area, but had a very good experience. Nice rooms, price and a lovely evening meal in the bar (Which had an amazing bar staff member). I will be back again for sure.
