Lovely quiet town, couple of nice pubs, shopping on hand. Best thing for me was the excellent fish and chip shop, The Cod's Scallops! Great town. Friendly local people. Very clean streets thanks to a local chappie, happy picking up litter. We appreciate you. Lovely pub The Bluebell Inn. And a lovely cocktail lounge and a great breakfast in a place called The Corner Room. Lots of charity shops with good quality clothes. Overall great town. The hotel we stayed in was on the main road and the traffic was constant until around 1.30am. We were there mid week. Long Eaton itself is well situated for getting to Nottingham and Derby. Average small town.Guest review byDuly - 10.0

Ate in a few pubs in the area, nice place with nice people. Pity it cant decide if its in Derby or Nottingham but straddling the border puts you in reach of interesting sites in both counties. Very handy for the M1 and East Midlands Airport, which is to be avoided because of the high parking charges. You can expect a £100 fine if you stop to drop off or pick up a passenger in an area not designated. Or you can pay £1 per minute to wait for someone to arrive.Guest review byGordonIreland - 2.0

I booked 2 rooms for me and my family-quiet rooms. There was no electricity in the plugs so we could not charge our phones or use the TV.
