Beautiful spot with plenty of lovely walks and things to do all within a 10minute drive. A quaint and beautiful thatched cottage with hosts that really couldn’t do enough for us. The accommodation is actually in Dorsington, Long Marston.
The accommodation is actually in Dorsington, Long Marston. The hamlet or village of Dorsington has an arboratum, created only in 1990 but with both mature trees and some just 20 or so years old: 658 trees of 47 kinds, including some exotic trees such as the Tree of Heaven and the Chinese Pearlboom Tree. It's quite a lovely area to walk around, listening to birdsong. The architecture of this little village is extremely varied, and includes a large Cotswold stone house being beautifully thatched at the moment. The roads around are rather quiet, and suitable for cyclists and joggers to have free reign most of the time.
