A beautiful older hotel in a quiet location, though very close to central Elgin. We loved the decor - it’s a genuine manor house with lovely period furnishings. The lounge is very beautiful, yet unpretentious. We were sorry we had only 1 night there, and would stay here again. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast - with good coffee and delicious haggis. We are now converts

The Southbank Guesthouse was comfortable and extremely good value for money. They were very accommodating with an early check-in as I was attending a funeral. The breakfast was very nice and very well presented.

Very quick, straight, and nice communication upfront the stay. By accident we arrived quite early and met the host: she was very friendly and took us "upstairs" to the appartement, although we knew how to access it. Appartment is very open spaced, well equipped (3 bedrooms: 1 Twin, 1 Double, 1 Single, Bathroom, separate Toilet, Kitchen, huge living room with Dining area). It is quite central in Elgin, parking was no problem at any time around the house, Supermarket next door... A little bit noise, but this is normal so close to the street. The appartment was extremely clean (like never used before!), and the interieur was lovely arranged. Thanks a lot for a great stay!

This is the first place in The UK that I could easily say I felt at home. The apartment is fully equipped with all that you might wish. The place was really clean and cosy for a person from the continent /you know what I mean :) /. See you next time when we'll give us much more time to visit the splendid distilleries in Speyside.
