Loved the location, the cosy nature of it and the staff being friendly and helpful... spent a couple of hours each afternoon sitting by the fire reading my book or chatting with other people while having a couple of drinks.... really enjoyed the easygoing atmosphere...

This property was festively decorated, very clean, and super comfortable -- everything was top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I'll definitely recommend and book rooms here for clients. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant one evening; it was wonderful! Also had a more casual dinner in the bar/lounge area on the last evening, and once again, everything I ordered was excellently prepared and presented. Your staff members are very kind, energetic, & thoughtful -- I loved my stay here!

Everything was perfect. Staff, facilities, meals, room was lovely. Virtually part of the Village Square yet very secluded and quiet. Even our room was extremely quiet, even given it proximity to the road.

Very super friendly staff, except the older lady at the restaurant that could be pissy at times. Room was large and comfortable. I had room #1 which was on the ground floor so if you're a light sleeper and you like to sleep in the noise from outside might wake you up. Parking is easy either in the back of the property or the free car park 5 min walk away.

What Guests Said About Lower Slaughter:

    Arrival Experience:

Arrival Experience: Upon entering through the bar area, I politely inquired about the reception location. The staff member responded dismissively, asking “Well, do you know which one? Where are you supposed to be?” This interaction felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. Check-in Process: At reception, we encountered further challenges. The staff member did not acknowledge us with a greeting or make eye contact, simply stating “There’s an issue with your reservation” without offering assistance or solutions. Dining Experience: While the room itself was pleasant, our dinner reservation experience was problematic. When we approached the restaurant desk, staff walked away to serve tea without acknowledging us, leaving us waiting for five minutes. After being seated, we waited an additional ten minutes before being asked for our drink order. When I requested a vodka with olives, I was informed five minutes later that cocktails were not available—information that could have been communicated initially. Ultimately, we decided to dine at the Sheep Restaurant instead, where we received the warm, professional service we had hoped to experience at your establishment.

Lower Slaughter is such a lovely place.

Lower Slaughter is such a lovely place. Very picturesque and quiet. Nice place to relax. If you want shopping, you've got Broadway or Stow on the Wold, very nearby. We on spent weekend. But maybe next time we'll bring our dog. That will then be our third time in L Slaughter!

Everything about this hotel was great, I would definitely stay here again. Besides the room and bathroom, I would like to highlight the views from the hotel, they are so relaxing. Also, the restaurants (for breakfast and dinner) are very comfortable, beautiful, and very cozy (especially beside the fireplace at dinner, 100% necessary for our winter trip.
