I liked the little bench on the green from where you could see and identify all the fells and hills and the fact that the house was central to all we wished to see in south lakes . Very close to the southern lakes as well as the coast.
Very close to the southern lakes as well as the coast. Very quiet with lots of shorter walks in stunning countryside surrounded by panoramic views. Easy to get to from all major routes. Have an evening walk up to St. Luke`s church, sit in the churchyard and admire the stunning view across the valley. Visit the tea rooms in Ulverston and take the short drive to Cartmel and have a look around the Priory church. Drive up the coast road to Barrow-in-Furness.
