The Saturday market is worth a visit and there are lots of places to stop for coffee, breakfast and lunch. Walk down the cobbled street to the harbour and enjoy watching the boats. There are also quite a few independent shops. Just along the coast there is a nice walk along Hurst Spit to the fort or you can get the ferry. Lots of walks around nearby Brockenhurst too.

A delightful high street. Beautiful Georgian buildings

A delightful high street. Beautiful Georgian buildings and individual shops. Among the chain store shops were useful ones ,such as Boots and Superdrug, Picturesque, and leading down to the cobbles and the harbour. Also Lymington is very easy to reach by car , using the M3 and the M27.. This, of course depends on your starting point.

Lymington is such a pretty town, full of shops, tea rooms & pubs. The marina is at the bottom of the cobbled section of the high street, a lovely pub there with sun terrace overlooking the water. Here you can catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight too. So many floral displays around the town make it so picturesque. Nearby you have the beautiful Milford-On-Sea, this is a must with your visit, a tiny village with a seaside. Again lots of tea shops & nice pubs, plus a few charity shops that support the village.

A long old fashioned town street with plenty of curio shops and boutique clothing outlets as well as plenty of cafes pubs and usual charity shops make it a packed high street. The nearby marina and outdoor sea water lido make it a draw for families lots of outdoor areas to explore. The setting, location and general “1st impression” are great. Nice looking period setting, if not a little “tired” Fabulous if planning a day at the Isle of Wight and you can leave your car there for free and walk to the ferry in 5 minutes. Likewise about 15-20 minutes walk to the high street of Lymington .

The location of the property was ideal for us. We had a short walk into Lymington town centre via the iron gate opposite the hotel. The room had everything you could possibly need for a short break and we felt very safe.
