The staff at the hotel made this an excellent stay. They were helpful, friendly, and fun particularly Caroline and Sandra. Caroline gave us lots of helpful advice and travel tips. They always seemed so happy. Food was great, location perfect and the hotel was value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The house was in a great location, with a spectacular view to the sea. The landlady was so nice! The house felt like a friendly home. My room was not large but it was really nice, and fully equipped. It was cleaned every day whilst I was away. Breakfast was rich and tasty! I loved the balcony where you could sit and enjoy the view with a drink. They had a nice sortiment of drinks in the bar. Overall I am happy to return and stay here in Lynton!

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. The cliff railway was interesting to ride on and the Exmoor visitors centre was very informative. The valley of rocks was amazing to visit.

Lynton is a lovely small village with all amenities you need. Couple of pubs with good food and drink. Some excellent food restaurants especially the Kensington for steaks. The Green house was brilliant for early morning coffee and fry up. If going to Lynemouth then take the train - walking up and down ( we did both) is brutal and you need to be fit and healthy to do either.

Lynton isn't the easiest place to drive to but well worth the effort. We avoided Porlock Hill (we have a very old car) and used the toll road. It costs £3 but the views are wonderful. Lynton itself has plenty of places to eat, a good Arts and Crafts Centre plus a second-hand community bookshop, as well as lots of other interesting shops. It's a lovely little town just to wander round and of course you have the cliff railway to take you down to Lynmouth.

Lynton is a lovely little town, plenty of eating places. The only down side is the hill getting there, it is very, and the turn into Lynton is very sharp. Choughs Nest Hotel is a lovely place good views, but the breakfast was not up to much for me, and it's the only hotel we've stayed in where you don't get any bottles of water.

Both Lynton and Lynmouth are beautiful villages with many shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s lovely to just walk round in the evening too. There is the added bonuses of the vehicular tram and a cute independent cinema. Lynton is between Minehead and Barnstaple, so you can easily get to anywhere you would like to go in between. It’s a perfect central location.

We were met by Rachel on Reception who was both informative on the neighbourhood and extremely helpful towards our needs for the two nights stopover in Lynton. She excels in her role! Rachel also arranged a hotel parking space and gave excellent recommendations for breakfast and the evening dining options. (All within a short walk of the hotel) Lovely Lynmouth is a short walk downhill, or using the funicular railway is a great alternative.

The Crown Hotel was a lovely place to spend an evening. The room we had was huge with a four poster bed which was very unexpected. The location is lovely in a beautiful quaint Devon village, the staff were friendly and the bar area provided a nice place to relax and have a meal/drinks.
