Had a lovely big easy access room which was a short walk from reception etc…bathroom enormous and everything needed was in there. All Dove toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and, for once, coffee was tasty and hot. Something we never seem to find in hotels…all in all, a lovely stay..

    It was cheap and the location good with free car parking!

    It was cheap and the location good with free car parking! However the soap dispenser was empty, the toilet was broken, lights in both the bathroom and main room were not working, electric socket were not working and television reception was appalling so could not be watched! Obviously the room 'had not been checked by anyone' for some time which is worrying. The top of the toilet cistern had come off exposing various attempts with toilet rolls etc to secure the operation of the main handle to no avail, I assume this had been done by staff!

    I liked the staff breakfast was good but could of been.hotter as was warm Room.was lovely but needs up dating but ok. And air con should be a consideration as on hot days it was uncomfortable had fans but cannot have them.on allnight

    I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Not cheap but very unclean & poor standards. No air con. Just a desk fan. Room far too hot. Awful pillows. Asked for extra but didn't get them. Tea & coffee not replenished. Definitely not worth the money!

    Was in Maidstone for a funeral,flying visit so didnt see an awful lot of it. Ate at the Newnham Court Inn food was lovely Lamb shank to dye for, also had food in the Windmill absolutely great food breakfast was amazing plenty of it.

    I go because my son lives there - Maidstone itself isn’t really a destination but it’s good as a base to explore Kent great road links to Canterbury - Whitstable rural Kent - or a stop off if using the channel tunnel etc

    We came to Maidstone for a wedding and a stay at Leeds Castle, stayed at the Mercure hotel for one night then transferred to the castle and went back to Mercure for the second night better room the second time.

    An unexpected gem of a place right in the centre of Maidstone. The owners have done a magnificent job of restoring this lovely old property to its former glory. The room are HUGE. Everything is spotlessly clean. There are large and comfortable common areas to work, relax and eat. There is a relaxed and friendly vibe - the owners live in the back of the property. There for you if you need help but otherwise you are left to enjoy the place in privacy. Excellent place.

    It was conveniently placed for our visit. I used to live in Maidstone, so I know most of the hotels around the area. It was clean & comfortable & although we had a blocked plughole in the shower, they sent someone immediately to fix it. The breakfasts were tasty & plenty to choose from, including a cook your own pancake maker! I booked through Bookjng.com & got a discount. £200 for 2 nights including breakfast…bargain! Will always stay here when we visit family.
