We stayed in the Limes room. It was spectacular and extremely comfortable. Particularly loved all the attention to detail like slippers, robes and complimentary drinks.A generous and delicious breakfast was included . We couldn't have asked for more. We also had a family dinner for 18 booked at Luigi's and the staff,food and service were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed their authentic classical Italian dishes.

I loved my stay in Primrose Lodge. Lovely quiet cul de sac in woodland setting. Everything you need, so modern & spacious. Bed was so comfy. Shower was divine. Wish I had extra time to enjoy apartment more. The interior design was beautiful. If I could bring Primrose Lodge with me to Ireland & live in it I would. Susan was so helpful too. Loved my stay in Maldon, its fab here🩷

    Lovely town.

    Lovely town. You have plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants. We particularly liked the Solero Lounge. Everyone in the shops and eateries was pleasant and friendly. We loved Hythe quay. We booked a trip round the river Blackwater on a Thames Barge. It was a cold morning but we still enjoyed it.

    A lovely historic town.

    A lovely historic town. Enjoyed walking along the promenade looking at the historic barges. Also enjoyed walking over the causeway to Northey Island. Several interesting places nearby - particularly rated Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, boat trip on the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation

    We liked walks around the Blackwater River.

    We liked walks around the Blackwater River. Maldon was easy to walk around and leaving the car parked up the whole time we were there was useful. The town was clean and people friendly. A nice relaxed feel to the place. We ate at the Queens Head PH which was a couple of minutes walk from our accomodation and was on the Blackwater River with nice views.

    Superb place for a short stay - lots of history, lots of...

    Superb place for a short stay - lots of history, lots of individualistic shops and a wide range of restaurants and cafes. Head down to the quay for a sense of its maritime past and maybe go for a two-hour walk to and around Northey Island, linked by a causeway. Music events throughout the summer in the Promenade Park ranging from Ibiza to Soul to 40s nights.

    Nice shops

    Nice shops You have to be prepared to walk up and down quite steep hills The Hythe and the Promenade Park areas were delightful There seemed to be a wide range of eateries but we had made prior arrangements to eat elsewhere with friends and family in the area

    Maldon is a lovely medieval town with the Blackwater Estuary...

    Maldon is a lovely medieval town with the Blackwater Estuary homing sailing boats and private boats, and a town with a vast selection of small shops and eateries. The Promenade is lovely to walk along, there are two playgrounds and a splash pool for the children, leading to a lovely park. Nearby also is Madison house housing, ten pin bowling rollerskating and an amusement arcade.

    I would like to send out a personal thank you to Claire who helped us with everything from check-in to check-out. We arrived quite early but she showed us around the hotel and looked after our luggage, and even took it up to our room for us whilst we were out. The room was of a good size and the decor was pretty. There were 2 electric fans which was much appreciated given the hot weather. We had a lovely stay! Would definitely stay there again next time we are in Maldon.

    The location in the centre of Maldon was good. Its proximity to the Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome was great as we were there specifically to attend the Airshow. The house was indeed very tiny but beautifully furnished, super clean and adequately equipped with very clever use of all the available space.

    We have stayed in the Swan hotel and Grill before, and we have not been disappointed either time. We booked 2 rooms this time one for our daughter and both rooms were equally good. The beds are comfy, and the room was clean, and had plenty of room for two people to move around comfortably.

    Yet another stay in the Blue Boar, and very good it was too. It's my hotel of choice when I'm in the area. All the rooms I've stayed in have been modern and comfortable and the breakfast has always been very good.
