It's a great town with many interesting shops and places to eat and drink. It has a good vibe about the place. We found an excellent French cafe/restaurant which was very good . Marlborough is charming.
Marlborough is charming. A good choice of places to eat for both full meals and for coffee & cake. I enjoyed browsing and buying from the large selection of quality shops - especially ladies' wear, brands not seen on my local high street but usually found in bigger cities. The breakfast is massive and the coffee is great. It is my second stay here and I hope to come back many times. I travel from North Wales to Portsmouth, and Marlborough is a very pleasant halfway point. Why do people who travel for work etc stay at chain hotels?
