Loved the setting and the main Restaurant both excellent. Marlow is lovely. As for the staff and the rooms, for what you pay to stay at The Complete Anglier was a rip off and way too expensive. 3 times on arrival our coffee machine had to be changed as not working. I had to run backwards and forwards to reception as there was no phone in the room. No concierge on duty on arrival and it was a busy week because of Henley, badly planned. Receptionist wasnt helpful with anything. We had a trickle of water in the sink in the bathroom so had to use the bath to wash hands, this never worked for the 2 nights we were there. The hot water was cold the first night of our stay. Luckily we’d showered at home. The water was still cold the next morning we had to go to reception to report it which took about 25mins for someone to come. He had to run the water for a good 20+mins till it came through warm. We had a deadline to keep to so nw we were 45mins behind. The curtains were torn as pic below. Complete disaster and for what they charge we felt ripped off. Location is good for a nice break and right in the centre of Marlow. Great pubs and restaurants and shops. We visited our favourite restaurant The Hand & Flowers and enjoyed a stroll along the High Street. Marlow has a lovely park to walk through and you can walk along the riverside. lovley but very busy town on the River Thames. parking is a nightmare with every car park rammed but strangly the town/cafes etc itself was "quieter"....Some lovley cafes and shops (some major high street and independants too).
