Beautiful hotel and location. Cozy rooms with all the amenities. A beautiful deep porcelain tub to soak after a long day. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. You didn’t leave hungry ! Staff was amazing and attentive. Took our luggage to our room and personally checked us in and made sure we were comfortable. Beautiful gardens. Perfect for a getaway or special occasion. We were traveling and found it a relaxing break on our road trip.

We stayed here because of the close proximity to Chatsworth and it had the small country pub and inn style lodging we were looking for. I had been wanting to visit the area for years and when we arrived for check in the property and surrounding area was so beautiful I got teary eyed. It really felt like a dream come true. The Inn is nestled next to a quiet stream and is perfectly situated to enjoy beautiful and expansive views from all sides. We enjoyed visiting with guests in the RV park and sat outside and enjoyed a hot cup of tea outside on the patio even though it was still a bit cool in the morning. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant both days and we enjoyed the food, staff and ambiance of the spaces.

Nice town surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Nice town surrounded by beautiful scenery. Lots of choice for food/drinks and easy access to all activities the Peak District has to offer. Matlock Bath is very pretty but it's chaotic and with all the amusement arcades and chippies it feels a bit like Skegness.

it is a small town with character and charm with a great selection of independent bars and restaurants and pubs , where you can eat drink and be merry. It's close to very picturesque countryside with a wealth of walks and places of interest too.It is a lovely place to visit what ever the time of year although in the summer months it can be busy but not as much as nearby Bakewell.

We had an amazing three night stay - the weather was 30degC and more every single day. The staff at the hotel were absolutely spot on - really helpful, very friendly and happy to chat. The pool is amazing and it was great to see how popular it is. Great walking routes from the hotel as well and a good bus service - we dined in Matlock one night. Quite handy for Donington Park too. We went to wee the world superbikes on the Sunday. A perfect weekend.

Hall Leys Park in the centre of the town is worth a visit. For food i would recommend Viva Italian Restaurant on Dale Road. It's busy, but worth the wait. Good choice of freshly cooked food on the menu.

I like the shops in Matlock, especially The Victorian Emporium. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants & bars as well. I travel down from Scotland when my friend is playing guitar & singing at Folk Festivals in the Derbyshire area. I eat at various restaurants, to try them out. I like to find out which one suits me best. There are always good music venues in the Derbyshire area, & plenty of choice. The only disappointment was a bus that didn't arrive on the time stated, & my train to Matlock was cancelled from Derby Railway Station. I had to wait for a replacement bus, for over an hour & a half. It didn't arrive at all, but they put a taxi to Matlock on for me, & I got to my hotel at 1.00 on Sunday morning ! I come down on the train around 3 times a year. ( I didn't bring my camera, so I have no photographs to add.) I haven't had time to try any local attractions, like the ones mentioned below. I was too busy visiting the music festivals which were fantastic !

Fab historic town in the Derbyshire Dale's.

Fab historic town in the Derbyshire Dale's. There are plenty of walks either along the riverside down through Matlock Dale to Matlock bath as well as Tor's for more adventurous walkers. There is also a cable car which takes you up to experience the old lead mining caverns a really good day out. Plenty of shops and restaurants for food as well as a big village park centrally.

Lovely hosts, they made us feel very welcome and looked after us while we were there. The hotel is quirky and full of character so if you're a fan of vintage style you'll love this. Breakfast was amazing also and the atmosphere is like stepping back in time. Location is great, you're right in the middle of the busy Matlock bath (on a summer day especially) and the fact it has free parking is ideal.

We loved the outdoor pool, in fact this was the reason we wanted to stay at the New Bath Hotel. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was excellent. We would have liked to have seen a bit more choice for breakfast, some berries to go with the muesli, for instance.
