The host was very hospitable. Perfect location and beautifully decorated. We went for food in the restaurant downstairs and the food was amazing! Friendly staff and they catered well for coeliacs! Would definitely stay again.

WiFi was good, room was modern enough and has windows that can open. Owen and Margaret are so welcoming and nothing beats waking up to a full English every morning. This type of hospitality is slowly fading so I’m really glad I got to spend time here with such great hosts. I will definitely be back.

This was our holiday from our long term travel, a fantastic space. Great pool, cafe, and the gym was excellent I used it every day of our stay. It is located outside of Newquay but this means it is very quiet but still close enough by car. The view from our room was exceptional and walking along the cliff to the next bay was good with access to the beach.

It was just a really great hotel experience all round, especially the extra special customer services and food quality in the main restaraunt, but also the freindliness and courtesy shown by the cleaning staff. Spa was really clean, welcoming staff and very relaxing. The location is absoultely perfect as a base to walk into town from, or trek around generally. We were glad we had a balcony room, the view is amazing and the sunset was sublime. Watching the surfers from this vantage point was great too.

Mawgan Porth is north Cornwall at its best a beautiful bay surrounded by majestic rugged cliffs. This is a great venue for the young and not so young with Atlantic waves rolling in for those who like the thrill of the surf or a walk along the coastal paths. A sandy beach completes the picture!

A lovely and interesting beach with the tide out. Nice choice of eating places and small shops. Good surfing when the weather is suitable. The Merrymoor Inn is a good place to eat but nice snacks available from Cornish fresh and the Beach Box.

Mawgan Porth as a location is lovely - very small but beautiful beach and enough there to survive. Also the bus service between Padstow and Newquay, via Mawgan Porth was good and meant we saw several other beautiful beaches. It is very steep as soon as you walk away from the beach so you need to be fit.

Great beach Lots of nearby walks, both along the cliffs and up the valley. When weather permits glorious sunset views. The Merrymoor Inn is a good place to stop for a drink or a meal, be prepared to book at busy times.

The beach was clean and beautiful. The water was clear. We ate in the Merrymoor where the staff were friendly and helpful. The best coffee came from Cornish Fresh which had a good breakfast selection and a nice internal bakery. We were staying up the hill which can be steep, but the paths and access was quite good.
