From the moment we got there, we were made to feel very welcome. Very positive energy and environment. Lovely place to stop even for just a night. Had some lovely conversations with the owners, was lovely to get to know their story a little as well:)

This is a one of a kind luxurious, comfortable, pampered experience. Karen and David are the sweetest, kindest, most courteous people ever! Their years in the hospitality industry shine through but mostly their passion for providing a pampered Scottish experience reigns. The house is beautiful; the room is enormous with an even bigger bathroom with separate shower and tub. The room boasts extravagant furnishings and an even more extravagant view of the Scottish Border hills. We were greeted with cheerful, kind, words and gestures that are unmatched (and we have traveled extensively). Love this place and Moffat but especially Karen and David; they are true gems!

The rooms were perfect. They were just what you think of with an English bed and breakfast. The hosts were fantastic and supplied us with all kinds of goodies even single malt whiskey! Breakfast was super and was everything a full English breakfast should be. I can't recommend this highly enough.

It is a lovely, old Scottish house that we understood was a church parsonage. It is right next to downtown and parking was convenient. Our room was comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was very large and clean- loved the shower. The room was also nicely appointed with lovely furniture. Breakfast was delicious and the owner was most accommodating.

Lovely cottage. Very well presented. Felt like a home. Good communication with owners. Easy parking. Bathroom was downstairs. Basket there on arrival the eggs, oatcakes and biscuits.

Playparks for children. Can get bus to Hamilton or Glasgow or head south. train station nearby goes to Edinburgh. Lots of accommodation options.

    It's a pretty country town, once a spa, set in deeply rural Southern Uplands, with good hill-walking a few miles away. There are a variety of shops, mainly local, some touristy. It's a good base for exploring a relatively unfrequented part of Scotland.

    We only had chance for a short walk around the town but what we did see looked good, bars, shops restaurants etc. It was easy to walk into Moffat from the guest house and is within easy reach of main roads leading to other towns.

    Chose Moffat as a mid point stay on our from the East of England to the Isle of Skye and it was a perfect location. Moffat has a good mix of shops and pubs, we ate at the bull which was very nice. The surrounding country side is dramtic and forms a great back drop.

    Moffat is a lovely town.

    Moffat is a lovely town. We broke our journey from Inverness with an overnight stay there. It is a short distance from the main A74, there is ample free parking and the town has lots of hotels and eateries. Perfect.

    Compact but plenty of facilities, pubs, eateries ect in and around the main street . Pretty with a pleasant park and walks. Good central base a few minutes from the moterway but couldn't see or hear it. Friendly people and no shortage of parking in the centre.

    We chose Moffat as our stop off on our way to Edinburgh. Our expectations were blown out of the water ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our king size double room was exquisite in every way. Our room was beautiful ❤️ Every little detail was thought of which made our stay superb. I can confidently say this hostel rivals many of the 4 star hotels we have stayed at. We also recommend popping into town and ordering the traditional Scottish breakfast at Cafe Ariete.

    Our 4th stay at this hotel whilst on motorbike tours of Scotland. Dave and his family and team know just what bikers, walkers and cyclists need. There is everything you could wish for, from garages for the bikes, to a drying room for wet clothes, cleaning and maintenance facilities and a wealth of local knowledge. The food is also superb and freshly home-cooked. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

    Gorgeous hotel! I was travelling here for work and we arrived in the evening but sat in the stunning garden outside with a drink and watched the sun set! Hotel was very clean would recommend anyone visiting Moffat to stay here! The venue even made me up a breakfast bag at 5.30am when I was leaving for work in the morning !

    For many years we have used Moffat as our first stop point on trips to Scotland. We have now found our favourite B&B to stay at.George and Elena were perfect hosts. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great. They have even managed to introduce a bit of Dubai into the guest lounge….the TV was massive.
