Good place when visiting places like Cheddar Gorge (WOW), Tynefield house lovely and near to bath, wells, bristol. Were told today by friends that The George had recently changed hands and that local feeling was the pub had gone donwhill. It was clean, bed comfortable, but we were not expecting to eat breakfast in our room and the food provided was very poor. Great location if you are in a car. Friendly staff. Comfortable. Good value. For the price don't expect perfection. Nicer than staying in central Bristol and the price difference more than covers lots of car parking. Good for visiting Tyntesfield, SS Great Britain, Clifton and Bristol. The George Hotel on the main road has amazing food - that is very reasonable, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Covid measures are good as is the cleaning. The accommodation was superb and he seems to have thought of everything you might need. The welcome goodies he had left for us were a nice touch. The place is extremely confortable and designed to ensure comfort at any season. Even the location was brilliant with Nailsea centre and other amenities within easy walking distance yet in a fairly peaceful loaction. The apartment was light and bright. Hot water supply was good. The location is handy being just a 20 minute walk into the centre of town.
