The Stonehouse Hotel was a sight for sore eyes, (a pleasant surprise) after walking 5 1/2 hours on the Costwold Way. We loved the hotel, the grounds and our room. We also found the staff, specifically the young man checking us in (sorry didn't catch his name), a waitress named Asuka, and the bartender Yaughtski. Hopefully we spelled that right. Lol. Yaughtski without a doubt made our stay welcoming and fun.

    Lovely quaint little place with a great choice of places to eat including an Italian restaurant (great pizza), fish and chips and various cafes. Good selection of independent shops too. Very pretty with the river running through it and some cute little houses, roads.

    The town had more to offer than first glance would suggest. Decent bars, cafes and good choice of restaurants. Giuseppe's, Williams, Amalfi and the Canteen - highly recommended. And a few independent shops worth a look. Lovely warm welcome at The Britannia. Sweet little garden by the stream.

    Beautiful little town nestled in a valley on the quieter edge of the Cotswolds. Great selection of cafes and restaurants and a couple of pubs, One (The Village Inn) brews its own excellent beer. Superb base for walking.

    There are lots of high quality food shops but also supermarket 3 mins away so stress free catering Restaurants are good and within easy walking distance Scenic walks on nearby commons or cycling track are good for dogs. There is a vineyard nearby with wine tasting Our family had a trip to Bath and visited Cotswold farm park for easy day trips.

    Nailsworth is a very large village/small town.

    Nailsworth is a very large village/small town. Interesting buildings,and shops, walks by the river. A brilliant cafe in an old mill by the river that is run by an organisation training young persons who need extra help. The food and service is great. Plenty of pubs, some have entertainment too. Supermarkets, including a small Tesco that is open 6am-11pm. Most important - free car parks!! but check the hours allowed for Long Term and short term car parks so you are in the correct one.

    A vibrant town with great unique shops and lovely restaurants / cafes. The surrounding countryside is beautiful so great area for walkers. Lots to explore in nearby Towns like Stroud, Tetbury and Gloucester.

    This place was so charming. Lovely and warm upon arrival which was appreciated as it was a cold day! Lovely log burner and lots of thoughtful little features such as croissants and jam left for us in the fridge and the fire already laid for us! Dogs are welcome which was great for us so we could bring our cocker spaniel. Clear directions from the host and great signposting to find the cottage. Right in the middle of Nailsworth but tucked away. Will be staying here again next time we need to visit.

    We had a fantastic stay at Wild Garlic Rooms in Nailsworth. Such a lovely location and the accommodation was perfect. Nice sized room, clean, comfortable, good bathroom and the luxury of a mini fridge. We used the room as a base to explore Cotswold walks, and it was perfect for that. Lovely town with lots of places to eat within walking distance. We will be back.
