Home to home setting with much more comfortable bed! 😉 We loved the breakfast! Bit of an everything.. The location is perfect, the beach is just down the road, one of the evening just popped down to watch the sunset. The host Jen and Simon were fantastic! Very friendly. The place is clean, the bathroom was huge with fantastic decoration. When I booked The Clubhouse for some reason I thought there were a double and 2 single beds in the suit, but when we got there there was 2 double beds.. We are a family of 4, and our 2 kids got used to sleep in separate beds.. When I asked for an extra matress my hosts were amazing and they gave us an extra matress for no extra charge!! That way all nights were great. 2 of my children have been asking me when are we going to return… I am sure we will.

Our stay in 1645 Inn was the best in our whole Scottland trip in April :) the owners are wonderfully nice people, the food in the Pub and the breakfast in the bistro are delicious. It was such a shame that we only stayed one night! A big thank you for such a warm welcome and the talks and spontaneous whiskey tastings in the bar 🥃 We will never forget your hospitality and will definitely come back if you ever are in Scotland again! We arrived well after mid-night and the wonderful lady who worked there, stayed up for us, arranged some wine for us, took our orders for breakfast and then walked us up to the room. All with great warmth and friendliness, as if it was completely normal to have guests arrive so late at a small town hotel. We had arrived slightly embarrassed, but felt genuinely welcome. Thanks again for that.

Nairn is a lovely little town and not too touristy. It has a pleasant sea front and historic centre. Ozzi runs a Michelin star restaurant and the School Room is very good. I prefer to stay there than Inverness.

Nairn itself, a small town with a lovely beachfront and good local walks. The town centre itself is a bit 'tired' but that can be said for most towns, cities these days. What I would say is you do need your own transport. We relied on public transport so quite limited in accessing further afield.

    Lovely little city.

Lovely little city. A lot of take aways, shopping options, churches and pubs/restaurants. And the beaches are incredible! Lovely food and drinks at Bandstand restaurant, James's ice cream is a must, just by the beach btw. We had a picnic on the beach at sunset, visited multiple pubs and restaurants, enjoyed walks. Secret beach is lovely and you can spot delphins!

Weather was glorious and provided a great opportunity to visit the two beaches, harbour and town centre. Great small cafes on sea front for food, soft drinks and ice cream. Excellent water park for children and plenty of play equipment in local parks. Two bowling clubs, swimming pool and fitness centre, plenty of opportunities for walks in and around the area.

Lovely beaches and some good golfing options. Apart from the main A96 which dissects the town and can be horrendously busy at times, Nairn is otherwise a nicely quiet seaside town. The town centre however is a bit sparse, consisting mainly of cafes, charity shops and takeaways.

Washington House is the best B&B we’ve ever had the immense pleasure of staying in. We were greeted with a warm welcome, the house is beautiful and our room was lovely and spotless. Aileen and Arthur are truly wonderful hosts; Arthur’s breakfasts were nothing short of delectable and were, along with his morning chats with us, amongst the highlights of our memorable holiday in Scotland. We couldn’t recommend Washington House highly enough.

Great location. Good base to visit Inverness, Nairn and Brodies Country fare. Highland cattle looking good. 2 weddings over the 2 nights we stayed but didn't disturb us at all. The rest of the hotel was probably quieter than usual. Staff were lovely. Helpful and friendly. Breakfast good, busy but staff coped v well.
