Gorgeous period building, renovated to a modern (but still kept original character) high standard. Rooms were cosy, with extremely comfortable beds and great extra touches such as the tea tray with high quality products which was topped up each day. The cooked breakfast was fantastic and staff were super lovely and welcoming. Couldn’t ask for a better location with a handy carpark adjacent. We will definitely return.

For room, a lot of care is made to ensure comfort of guests, eg. the wooden toilet seat, the free coffee and drinks, etc. For breakfast, they are delicious and the serving is generous. I am overfed! Dinner is really value for $$, the variety offer breaks monotony.

The location is perfect and pretty. The food in the pub was amazing, traditional delicacies made to perfection. We had an ale n steak pie. Breakfast was made to order and very good. Room had an amazing old world charm and yet modern comfort.

During my stay at Number Four at Stow Hotel, I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Jonathan.     It's a quiet village with pretty Cotswold stone cottages, a pub, church and dovecote. A good location to drive to other villages nearby such as Bourton on the Water, Morton on the Marsh, Stowe on the Wold, Lower Slaughter and Bibury. No foodshops nearby though so take provisions and stock up when you find one. You definitely need a car here. There is no nightlife here, theatres or cinemas but perfect for a peaceful break.

    We didn’t go to Naunton, but Bourton-on-the-Water is only 10 minutes down the road, a very popular place. Stow was just 20 minutes away. You are not without many options … Sudeley Castle is very close too.
