I went there for a cricket match.

I went there for a cricket match. Victoria Gardens is a nice facility. The castle ruins are worth a short visit. The town centre is a pleasant walk around and the indoor market is a nice touch of nostalgia. Like most towns today, the area around the centre has too many empty retail units and properties.

The people of Neath are friendly and welcoming and the food offerings are amazing both in quality and value for money and whilst the town centre is like most these days, not at its best it is well placed for lots of outdoor activities whether you like walking biking or beach.

The council needs to do more to make the local area pleasant for tourists, didn`t see one policeman in the area during my stay there, saw local youths fighting though, much to the amusement of drinkers sitting outside the bars.

    Beautiful area.

Beautiful area. The waterfall walks are incredible, and although they were busy at times, it didn't detract from a really excellent trip. We took lots of food and water with us, which is important as there are few facilities, and we planned our walks well. It's worth getting a map (or at least the local guide leaflet that has the walking trails clearly labelled), as there is little to no cell reception so you can't expect your phone to guide you. We used the local guide leaflet plus OS maps and had an easy time picking our preferred route. If you are looking for somewhere nice to eat, we can highly recommend Sgwd Gwladys, which had really tasty food, good drinks, incredible desserts, and really lovely staff.

Sue our host was so kind, helpful and couldn't recommend a better host. Love the location, peaceful and tranquil. Great if you have a car so I don't know about public transport but it's fairly close to many stores and the Neath Abbey is also worth visiting nearby. The bed and pillows etc were so so comfortable wow. Great breakfast options cereal, toast, fruit, crossiants, a good verity of teas, and coffee..

Travelling to Neath for a family funeral the Bluebell was ideally situated for our needs. The friendly staff were able to answer our questions with regard to the location and guide us to places open in the area for a meal. We were informed before hand of the potential noise that may ensue do to location. A great heads up!

The room was very tired. One of the beds was stained and the wallpaper was falling off in some areas. We did have a good nights sleep as the beds were comfy. It’s a old hotel but the room we stayed in needs updating also the bathroom was rough
