I have been visiting Newcastle all my life and find the streets dirty now and not well kept and public bins overflowing with rubbish . Too many cars and too much noise. No decent shops her anymore .Joy riders screaming up and down the Main Street keeping people awake at night . Such a shame, not the Newcastle seaside resort I remember from my childhood days . The rest of the area around the mountains and across Northern Ireland is beautiful , stunning scenery , great roads and very friendly welcoming people as ever . I enjoyed the breakfast and the walk on the river trail. The building itself with it's period character, wide staircase and view out the window at breakfast, was very comforting. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom facitilites were adequate. Everything worked well, including the TV, kettle, lights, shower, sink, toilet and windows.
