Lovely town with great high street lots of independent shops beautiful river walks plenty pubs but only one (at the bridge) with real ale very friendly pub and fun live music on Sunday nights great places to eat especially Coltman’s deli and the chocolate school shop . Peebles is a beautiful little town set on the River Tweed. There are loads of walks and spectacular views. The birds we saw were amazing, crested gold finch and buzzards red starts and too many chiffon chaffs! The facilities were great, warm pool, good gym, nice sauna and excellent food. The young staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, some of the most professional and courteous that I have met. We decided to eat in the hotel and the meal was fabulous as was breakfast the following morning.
