Really friendly staff, great food, lovely setting. We stayed in the shepherds hut and loved it. We had dog with us and this hotel is great for pets.

The hosts were very helpful as we needed a dish to use for cooking, and they provided and asked if we needed anything else. Also helped with places to visit in the local area. No freezer provided but that's the only thing I could say to improve on. Lovely location in the middle of nowhere tucked away.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need. Nicely decorated property including the gardens. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, even enjoyed a soak in the bath. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet location but the community are so friendly which made a huge part of our trip.

Stunning Georgian Manse and welcoming Hine rolled into one. It’s a delight - we didn’t want to leave & hope to return very soon. Elizabeth Ann is the perfect hostess, every detail is beautifully and lovingly taken care off. The breakfast was the best, home made, organic , local - freshly baked scones, we could go on. . .

We absolutely loved our night away. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was beautiful. We have stayed in many places but the cleanliness of this place was amazing! The cottage was spotless and was fitted with everything you would need. The staff are lovely, and everything is made so easy from check-in to check out. The location is gorgeous, with lovely walks surrounding the house that ourselves, the kids, and our dog enjoyed. We will be back.

    A lovely little village, close to good road links to get...

    A lovely little village, close to good road links to get around the areas. We visited different places around the local area. Our favourite was Raiders Road forest drive through Galloway forest, it was just £3 to drive though and we saw deer and red kites along with other wildlife. We went to a lovely Italian restaurant in the next village on Saturday and enjoyed an authentic pizza. It's a lovely of the world with lots to see and do, especially if you enjoy the great outdoors.
