Very attentive hosts who greeted us warmly and offered us coffee and sweets after a long day's drive. Lots of choices for breakfast which was served in a lovely sunroom which guests were free to use. When we returned in the evening, there was always a treat left in our room to have with our tea. S & J were perfect hosts.

Everything about the property was exceptional and of very good quality and well thought out, from the gorgeous decor, to the fittings in the kitchen, even to the quality of the key safe. The space was very welcoming, including small touches such as throws for the furniture for our dog.

I must appreciate the hostess who looked after my daughter who was having problems with her university accommodation and had to shift out at short notice. They made her feel at home and she even dropped her to uni once as she missed her bus. It was a great help to my daughter who was living away from home and country for the first time. I'm very grateful

Penryn is a a small sleepy place = most of the shops are closed down, but there are some good coffee shops and restaurants. The place we stayed Seven Stars Penryn was absolutely terrible and I certainly could not recommend staying here. It spoiled our week there.

Penryn was chosen as a central place to stay, whilst visiting the sights we wanted to visit (Lands End, Tintagel, St. Michaels Mount and St. Ives). Therefore we cannot say much about the town itself, as we never visited it.

A real place with real people, shops and lives in an often spoilt by tourist Cornwall. Some really good pubs (try the Famous Barrell) / brilliant classy fish and chip shop (The Mariners) / cafe with cakes and coffee to die for (Stargazy Cucina) with lots more on the Fal Estuary at the bottom of the hill and lots of buses to Falmouth/Newquay and Truro (much used by students at the local university) - and all in a really interesting and ancient stone town.

Lovely historic town with interesting buildings.

Lovely historic town with interesting buildings. Set on the Falmouth estuary. Beautiful scenery and lots of gardens and historic houses to visit. Very good public transport links by bus to Falmouth, Penzance, etc. Free parking. Very friendly locals and students (it's part of the Exeter/Falmouth campus). Two pubs with good food at competitive prices, one of which, the Thirsty Scholar, has this year's Gold Award for pub food in the South West, which is richly deserved.

It's a very cute little place, not a huge amount to do but it's very close to Falmouth, which has a lot more on offer. The high Street is all up hill so if someone has health or mobility issues, this possibly wouldn't be the most ideal place to go. The best place to stay and eat is The Thirsty Scholar, this place, the food and staff are exceptional! Parking is a bit of a pain, the closest car park is a 3hour max short stay so you need to go to a long stay one, which is an up hill trek to the pub and high street

The location in the old part of Penryn near the quay was very convenient for us as my husband was attending a course at a studio in the Jubilee Wharf. We liked being near a pub, fish & chip shop & pizza restaurant. It was also convenient for buses to Falmouth from the bridge in Penryn. The cottage is tiny but well-equipped for 2 people. It was great to have a parking space for the car as parking is very difficult in a Penryn.

Pub meals are available on site. Being on the main street, the town and harbour were within walking distance. As we arrived after 1700 we found a parking spot in the free Permarin St carpark about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We had not expected to have breakfast available but they now include a light breakfast left outside your door in the morning in a cool bag.

Everything is perfect: the location is excellent for visiting all of southern Cornwall, the house is very large, welcoming and complete with everything you might need. Excellent parking for 2 cars and beautiful garden. A nice barbecue would be enough and it would be the best 😁
