Porlock is a charming village, there are plenty of restaurants , the weir is well worth a visit great pub and old interesting buildings. Take a climb up Porlock Hill or for a more sedate route try the estate toll road, lovely views across the estuary. Visit nearby Lynmouth, Lynton and Minehead all within easy reach. Porlock, on the north coast of Somerset, is a delightful village that offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My recent visit to Porlock left me thoroughly enchanted by its natural beauty and quaint charm. The village backs onto the breathtaking landscapes of Exmoor National Park providing a stunning picture of rolling hills and lush greenery. The coastal views are spectacular, especially from Porlock Weir, where the dramatic meeting of land and sea creates a mesmerising sight. Walking through the village, I was struck by the picturesque cottages, charming shops, and friendly locals who made me feel welcome. Porlock's historical allure is evident in its well-preserved buildings and the stories they have to share with visitors. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the coast. Whether going up to the scenic Porlock Hill for panoramic views or enjoying a leisurely stroll along the coastal paths, there was no shortage of outdoor adventures. Overall, Porlock in Somerset is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, historical charm, and warm hospitality. It's a destination that promises relaxation, adventure, and a touch of magic.
