The location was excellent: great views of both the harbor and the sea; easy access to the bus stops, as well as Port Isaac's iconic harbor and the coastal path. Good accommodation, including a kitchen with washing machine and all necessary equipment, light and airy, comfortable beds, lovely decor, and very clean. Large windows with sweeping views were my favorite feature.

Port Isaac is a magical place!

Port Isaac is a magical place! We loved watching the tide rise and fall in the harbor and watching the sunset from the balcony of the Golden Lion. We also walked from one side of the hill, through the village and up the other side for magnificent views! The museum in the old church was interesting, and we loved all the shops and just the overall quaintness of Port Isaac. Just know it is best to park your car and just walk everywhere.

Stunning area. The village has narrow streets and cottages.

Stunning area. The village has narrow streets and cottages. Very steep hills. The harbour is popular and you can see why. We bought some chips & sat on the rocks when the tide was low. Just sat there for over an hour soaking up the view. Port Isaac is like being back in time. The eateries are quite expensive, so best to buy takeaway if on a budget. There is a reasonably priced cafe at the top of hill called the Cornish Cove and the food is very good. Also a fish & chip shop that is fairly priced and delicious.

Great harbour with excellent food and drink options.

Great harbour with excellent food and drink options. Wish we had had 2 nights stay rather than 1 night. The Doc Martin series of places to see also make stay here great. The restaurant across the street from The Slipway and the Golden Lion Pub are well worth a visit

A gorgeous little fishing village which maintains its old style charm. Everyone is so welcoming. Great place to visit with wonderful scenery. It’s very hilly so think carefully if taking elderly people with you.

The scenery was beautiful.

The scenery was beautiful. After finishing a tour of the UK, Port Isaac's coastline was by far the best we saw. We had a beautiful meal at The Chapel and this would have been one of the best, if not the best, we had since being in the UK.

Location was superb. We went to Port Isaac as were big fans of doc Martin and from the balcony in the room you could see the harbour, doc martins house and the school. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and the rooms were always stocked with bottled water and other amenities like tea/coffee and decaf options also. Breakfast was of the highest quality with a mix of continental and full veggie/ full English breakfast options. We really enjoyed our staff and if in the area would stay here again.
