Extra effort was made by the host to make the property really cosy and welcoming. Christmas decorations and fairy lights added a really lovely touch. The host was really friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property.

Everything - it was the best hotel we’ve stayed in in a while. The room was beautiful, so clean and cosy. The bed was so comfortable and the room was welcoming with lovely touches. Although we didn’t have a huge room, there was more than enough room and the bathroom was big in comparison with a large shower and spacious area. The staff were really helpful and friendly and let us leave our bags in left luggage prior to use checking in and after us checking out which was so helpful. We had previously booked into another hotel which turned out to be not very nice and we had to check out of due to its poor facilities, so to stay here instead was just what we needed!

I come to the UK just for the Hotel Pelirocco. It makes me happy that there are people in the world who make extraordinary spaces for others to enjoy. Everything about the place is magical from the paintings in the corridors to the bounce of the mattresses and the tiling in the showers. I cannot say enough about this superb hotel and it really feels like the best of Brighton.

We had everything we needed in the room. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The Kitchenette and fridge were a bonus and very useful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had an abundant choice of cooked and continental type food served from 6.30am to 10.30am week days and from 7.30-10.30am weekends. Quickest route from Brightong station: Exit the station and turn left into Trafalgar Street. You will go downhill under the arches. Keep walking until you find Station Street on the left. Walk to the end of that street and turn into Fleet Street. You'll find the hotel on the left... We will definitely book again in the future.

Being able to see my son who lives in Portslade was a bonus...

Being able to see my son who lives in Portslade was a bonus as nearby. Lots of shops and great places to eat, Hangleton Manor, recommended Eddies for breakfast. Dog grooming on main road, excellent. Obviously near to Brighton and Hove. Recommend Italian cafe in Hove on main high street.

Portslade is not a tourist destination.

Portslade is not a tourist destination. It's a working town near Brighton but it has a great pub in The Railway Hotel which was fun and had great food. We went there to drop off a hire car before travelling to London the next day.

Not a bad area for exploring some of the lovely scenic...

Not a bad area for exploring some of the lovely scenic places in the vicinity. My feeling is you do need a car as the bus services are mostly in the direction of Brighton or Worthing. Some good eateries. Personally I prefered seafood as my area for exploring. Much nicer beach and a lot less people
