We like to stay in remote locations, we hit the jackpot with this bed and breakfast deeply embedded in the farmlands and hills of Wales. Nikki has a small farm with many sheep, horses, and chickens. I am always at home with farmers, I live on a farm and am allergic to cities, this stay suited my wife and I perfectly. Nikki was a good cook and had free range chicken eggs for breakfast every morning… she was a good cook and a fantastic host. We were quite at home, the rooster would crow in the morning and there was the sound of the lambs talking to the ewes in the evening at dusk to lull us to sleep. There were beautiful roses and flowers growing all around the house and in the garden. One evening they had a fire outside, it felt nice to warm ourselves around the fire before retiring. All of the roads in that area are in bad shape and her driveway is no exception… going slow and driving carefully is recommended down the many single-track roads. The room was very spacious and comfortable. There were two single beds and a set of bunk beds… enough room to sleep up to four people. The location is in the heart of Wales and afforded the opportunity to travel over all of Wales.

Loved the location, very peaceful. I wanted to invite my mum down from Edinburgh but not to Swansea where I live as its busy and noisy. The cottage was very nice and cosy. Everything we needed was provided even though I brought my own towels and washing up liquid.

Lovely location and building and very comfortable with warming woodburner and a garden to sit out in and enjoy the rural calm. Only birdsong and sheep could be heard! Dark skies as well - great for star gazing!

    The actual area is quite small and sparsely populated, but...

    The actual area is quite small and sparsely populated, but had a good garage / service station / large shop with a massive array of most things for self catering holidays of short breaks. It's a great area for walks along lanes and small tracks around wonderful countryside. Some of the forests were accessible too, but rugged and if your not that able could be taxing for you. This is a farm rich area with plenty of livestock around which needs to be respected. Closing gates behind you, keeping dogs on leads and clearing up after them are a must. If you take a picnic with you, don't forget to take YOUR rubbish home and dispose of YOUR waste accordingly, then other people can enjoy the area too..
